Drumkit group classes

The following courses are a good option for the ones who want to benefit from the input of other students and group playing. We take a maximum of six students per class, and there are two drumkits in each classroom. Students in all the group classes have an option to participate in a live performance at the end of each term.

Foundation certificate one year course

Monday 7pm to 8:50pm.

Autumn term: 5th October to 7th December 2009.

Winter term: 4th January to 8th March 2010.

Spring term: 12th April to 28th June 2010.

Price: £249 per term or £699 for the year.

Ten week certificate courses

Beginners Saturday: 3pm to 4:50pm.

Autumn term: 3rd October to 5th December 2009. Price: £249

Winter term: 2nd January to 6th March 2010. Price: £249

Beginners Tuesday: 8pm to 9:50pm.

Drumkit one to one tuition with added performance workshops

The following certificate courses are a good option for the ones who want more private attention and a more flexible pace. Students in these courses are encouraged to attend Saturday monthly rehearsals leading to a live performance at Planet Drum. Level: beginners to advanced.

Standard course:

This popular course includes five lessons per month: four 50 minute one to one lessons, and one band workshop or percussion workshop or Masterclass.

Price: £140 per month.

Bi-monthly course:

This course includes three lessons per month: two 50 minute one to one lessons, and one band workshop or percussion workshop or Masterclass.

Price: £80 per month.

One to two standard course:

Study with a friend.

Price: £80 per month. .

One to two bi-monthly course:

Study with a friend.

Price: £50 per month.

Crash course:

Contains eight 50 minute one to one lessons, one percussion workshop and one band workshop per month.

Monthly performance rehearsals: Free for students on the Standard and Bi-monthly course.

Masterclasses: Free for Planet Drum students and £20 for others. (subject to availability). More info

Performance days: Students and teachers concerts at the end of every term. Bring your friends and family!

Practice rooms

£7 per hour. Facilities include Mapex Orion, Gretsch Renown, Mapex Voyager and Pearl Session drumsets with Zildjian cymbals, Meinl pro congas, 300w PA, drum machines and a wide range of hand percussion. The practice rooms are only available for Planet Drum students, subject to availability.

Facilities

Planet Drum main studios are located in Scar studios, a music rehearsal complex in the heart of Camden Town. We also operate in studios located near Old street, in Hackney, and in Bracknell, Berkshire.

All drumkit students will need to purchase the following books. They are available from Planet Drum or from music shops.
