If you're really dedicated to becoming a better drummer, then don't waste anymore of time looking for bits of information here and there on the Internet - get serious, learn & master Drums with Planet Drum! With correct instruction you will expand your skills and become a more confident and competent drummer.

The secret to learning and perfecting an instrument is to be taught using a solid, committed and realistic plan. Our curriculum board has devised well-structured courses so that every time you sit down to learn, you have a clear concept of what you are about to do. The taster lesson will include an assessment at which you will be able to discuss your requirements, technical issues and goals.

What do I learn?

All graded courses are based on 1 to 1 tuition with additional workshops and masterclasses with certificates awarded on completion of stages covering:

• Time keeping control
• Posture
• Hands and feet technique
• Co-ordination and independence
• Rudiments
• Dynamics
• Music theory
• Reading
• Groove and feel
• Style studies (rock, pop, jazz, Latin, orchestral, rudimental, world music)
• Understanding of song form
• Improvisation
• Developing an efficient practice schedule
• Setting up and tuning drums
• Band practice
• Live and studio playing

What we require from you?

You will receive reports/feedback every 6 months charting your progress, as well as a certificate at the completion of each stage.

It’s an obvious one but we expect you to practice, even if you play regularly. More workshops and masterclasses are available in addition to your course to help you get to take your drumming to the next level and practice sessions are £7 per hour - subject to room availability.

Taster Lesson

The initial taster lesson will include an assessment at which you will be able to discuss your requirements, technical issues and goals. We have taught thousands of satisfied students since 1996, will you be the next one?
