latin percussion workshops
"Latin percussion workshops give you the opportunity to learn congas, bongos, timbales and lots of other percussion instruments"

 

 

These classes cover popular and folkloric styles of Afro-Cuban music and Brazilian music including danzon, bolero, son, mambo, caballo negro, rumba and iyesa, samba, maracatu, merengue and lots more.

Tutor: Daniel Marruzzo.

Monday 6pm to 7:30pm, and Monday 7:30pm to 9pm

New: drop in percussion workshop, 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, 5pm to 6.30pm. All levels welcome.

Albert Vila Flamenco Cajon Course

Albert Vila will be hosting a Flamenco Cajon course at the Planet Drum starting 26th January 2008. Main flamenco styles will be covered as well as cajon technique and, of course, many ideas to apply flamenco concepts to contemporary styles.
